New short film Salvadora:

Art mixes with science in this tribute to the under-appreciated world of plants and insects. Salvadora persica is a shrub that occurs within the Namib Desert. This film not only explains how the plant survives, but also shows the ecological web of interconnections in the unusual ecosystem that is the ephemeral Kuiseb River, a linear oasis. Salvadora features insect behaviour I observed, previously undocumented by science, involving a species of desert termite.
